Ken, I've used Purina Advanced Show Nutrition for the last 5 years, and the Thriantas did well on it. But, I have had trouble with our wide range of temperatures in our area - we seem to go from freezing to roasting overnight sometimes! So, I switched to Purina Fiber3 this fall. I've managed to breed most of the prominent pin bones and "hippiness" out of my herd, but after weather changes or stresses of showing, it seemed to take a long time to recondition - with Fiber3, that problem seems to have been dramatically reduced. I'm finally getting excellent judging comments on fur and flesh, even in juniors. I've always fed hay 1-2 times daily, plus old-fashioned oatmeal in the mornings. And, I feel that overall management is a key - Thriantas seem to do better with larger cages and more interaction with their environment. They love toys, they love to see other rabbits, and they love jumping onto shelves. And, they love making beds with their hay, or with old towels, potholders, etc., that I give them! | |
